The full 120-page handwriting workbook for adults who have to write with their other hand: after a stroke, a hand or arm injury, surgery or amputation, or while a cast keeps the usual hand out of use. Every page is laid out for a left-handed writer: models sit above the line so the hand does not cover them, and every letter shows where to start and which way to go. It is the printable edition of our paperback: download it once and print any page as often as you need.

Designed by a registered Occupational Therapist with 10+ years in brain injury and cognitive rehabilitation.

What's included (120 pages, in US Letter and A4):

  • Control (12 pages): lines, circles, arches, loops, and four timed precision paths
  • Letters (36 pages): all 26 lowercase letters in six stroke families, a direction check for the letters and numbers that flip, then capitals and numbers
  • Size, spacing and steady writing (13 pages): the three zones, gaps between words, upright writing, boxes and fields
  • Speed (11 pages): nine one-minute pages that count only what is legible, a speed table, and neat-at-speed practice
  • Real-life writing (14 pages): a new signature, your details, an appointment form, lists, phone messages, a note and an envelope
  • Four benchmark pages, a 12-week plan with a weekly log, and 17 sheets of practice paper in three sizes

How it's graded: each letter starts with solid models to trace, then dashed outlines with a start dot, then dots alone, and the lanes get smaller as control builds. Practice runs 15 to 20 minutes on most days, neat first and speed later, and a five-item legibility checklist is the only scoring in the book.

Who it's for: adults relearning to write with their other hand, most often right-handers moving to the left, and the occupational and hand therapists who work with them. If your usual hand may still get better, talk it over with your therapist.
